My name is Ly Thi Yen, and I was born on June 1, 2003, in a small village called Phú Linh, Vị Xuyên, Hà Giang. I grew up in a poor family where even having enough food to eat was a struggle. My childhood was far from what many others experience. While other children went to school and played carefree, my days were filled with cutting grass and herding buffalo. There were times when I thought this was all life had to offer, but deep down, I yearned for change.

A Decision to Change Ly Thi Yen – Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone

Ly Thi Yen knew that if I stayed in my village, my life would never improve. I decided to leave the comforting arms of my parents to find work and support myself. It was not an easy decision; leaving my family and the familiarity of home was terrifying. But I believed that only by stepping out into the world could I create a better future.

With a small backpack and a heart full of determination, I made my way to the city. I had no money, no skills, and no one to rely on. The city was overwhelming and unfamiliar, but I held onto my belief that hard work would eventually lead to success.

First Steps into the World – Facing Early Failures

My first job was as a dishwasher in a small restaurant. It was a job I never imagined myself doing, but it was the only opportunity I could find. The work was grueling. My hands were constantly soaked in cold water, my back ached from bending over the sink, and the stacks of dirty dishes seemed endless. On top of that, I often faced scoldings from my boss, which left me feeling defeated and worthles

One day, the fatigue and pressure caught up with me, and I accidentally broke an entire stack of dishes. The owner demanded that I pay for the damages, an amount that far exceeded my meager monthly wages. I had no choice but to leave the job and flee, ashamed and disheartened.

Returning Home Ly Thi Yen – The Pain of Facing Questions

  • “Do you have a stable job yet?”
  • “Have you made a lot of money in the city?”

I didn’t know how to answer. Their words stung, but they also sparked a fire inside me. I realized that I couldn’t let one failure define me. I couldn’t give up so easily. So, I decided to return to the city, this time with an even stronger resolve to succeed.

Learning from Failure Ly Thi Yen – Building Resilience

Looking back, I see that every failure taught me valuable lessons. Breaking those dishes and losing that job wasn’t the end—it was a stepping stone. I learned that failure is part of growth, and every mistake is an opportunity to become stronger.

I tried my best one more time

I started seeking new opportunities, learning new skills, and embracing every challenge as a chance to improve. Every job, no matter how small or difficult, became a stepping stone toward my dreams. I kept reminding myself: “As long as you don’t give up, you will see results.”

A Message to My Readers Ly Thi Yen

I share my story not to seek sympathy but to inspire others who may be going through tough times. Life is never a straight path. It’s full of twists, turns, and obstacles. But what matters most is how you respond to those challenges.
